Where did it all start?
Well, it’s a bit of an entertaining story…
I was a child that grew up in Phoenix, but I lived in a split household since I was in my teenage years. My father lived in San Diego, but I lived with my mother in Phoenix. Having to move and visit two different cities meant I had to switch schools and I couldn’t hold a job. I knew I wanted to be some sort of tradesman at a young age. Most trades job require long periods of employment time and with me moving frequently, it was just impossible. I ended up attending university instead, but while I was in college I met a friend whose father was a hood cleaning expert for local restaurants. I decided to ask for a position as an apprentice and he accepted my request.
I learned the ins and outs of hood cleaning and restaurant maintenance and with my business degree, I knew I was on my way.
I decided to use both school and my job to learn the business of hood cleaning and how to help other restaurant business owners. I became a manager and learned a lot more. Whenever I frequently visited San Diego, I figured I went and asked other hood cleaning companies if they would consider hiring short term and they were delighted to have me.
Eventually, I took the leap to start my own business back in Phoenix and I’ve been here ever since cleaning restaurant hood systems and doing entire commercial kitchen cleanings. I’ll never forget the values that I was taught by both companies and I still hold them to this day. I make it important in my own business with my own cleaning crew. I want to grow my business and eventually branch out of Phoenix as well.
